Stentofon Pulse System

What is the Pulse System?
intercom system

Stentofon Pulse is an ideal economical solution for your smaller communication requirements. The system allows for as few as two stations and is scalable according to your needs.

Based on Stentofon?s IP technology, Stentofon Pulse is a serverless system that offers exceptional voice quality and many of the features and functions of larger systems.

The IP based system works by letting you use your existing IP Network infrastructure. It utilizes open standards including SIP, HTTP and XML, making it simple to integrate and expand with third party systems. Stentofon Pulse features all Stentofon IP Stations including our special purpose stations suitable for any environment.

Why Pulse?

  • Suitable for any environment based on the variety of Stentofon IP Stations
  • Scalable solution using Stentofon AlphaCom XE Audio Servers and networking technology
  • Technology based on open standards allowing for simple integration with other security systems

Expandability
All Stentofon IP Stations have a built-in SIP and web management server. The station designated as the system master will provide SIP sever functions to the other stations in the system and optionally any third party IP telephones and gateways. The integrated web management server provides centralized functions for system operation and maintenance.

Reliability
CCoIP employs VoIP, but takes it a step further by adding new IP services and applications which integrate security and audio quality necessary for critical situations and environments.

Clarity
Voice refers to the next generation voice quality for IP telephony compared to standard digital telephony. HD Voice uses wideband codecs (such as G.722) to reproduce the human voice with larger frequency coverage. The result is a signifi cantly more natural sounding speech and a wider range of sounds promoting audio clarity and clear conversation.

Stentofon?s Active Noise Cancellation software effectively eliminates unwanted noise, providing a clear speech signal even if the original speech has a lower decibel level than the surrounding noise.

IP Master Stations

Desktop Master Stations
The IP Desktop Master is a general purpose intercom station intended for use where a desktop station is the most practical choice. It features a large high contrast display with backlight which allows important information about connections to be shown very clearly.

The IP station supports open standards and is compatible with Stentofon Alphacom, Stentofon Pulse and iPBXs using SIP technology. When working in Alphacom mode, the IP station supports special services only available using the Stentofon CCoIP protocol, Alphacom server. Examples of services are emergency broadcast with volume override, ccTV integration, call priority, and Alphanet multisite networking and Stentofon event scripting.

Like all Stentofon stations, this IP desktop station features superb audio quality. This is enabled through a set of advanced technologies such as active noise filtering, acoustic echo cancellation, wide band audio codec, and high power audio outputs.

The IP station has an integrated managed data switch providing advanced networking and security features.

The integrated switch provides support for:
  • Protection from unwanted access
  • Quality of Service (QoS) by managing data traffic
  • Increased system availability through redundant lAn infrastructure
  • cost efficient installation by providing shared network connections

To provide maximum availability the station comes with advanced supervision functions. The station line test will detect if there is any faults in the network or station electronics. In addition the station supports tone test, testing the complete transmission path including microphone and speaker. The status of the stations is reported to AlphaWeb as well as to 3rd party management systems using SNMP, Syslog or OPC.

In-wall/Flush Mount
intercom system The IP Operating Room (OR) Master Station is an advanced intercom station intended for use in operating theatres and clean rooms. The station front plate is totally flat and without any holes to minimize bacteria accumulation. The station has an excellent audio quality. With a large backlit display and Stentofon audio technology the station allows users to read caller ID, listen and talk at a distance.

Like all Stentofon stations, this IP OR station features superb audio quality. This is enabled through a set of advanced technologies such as active noise filtering, acoustic echo cancellation, wide band audio codec, and high power audio outputs.

IP Subtations

In-wall/Flush Mount Substations
intercom system The Stentofon Vandal resistant IP Substation is tough, durable and resilient, and designed for use in the harshest of environments. The station is typically used as a communication, information or emergency point and connects directly to the IP network making it easy to deploy ? anywhere and at any distance.

The station has one relay and one logical output. These outputs can, for instance, be used to open a door through a connected relay. The IP substation has an integrated managed data switch providing advanced networking and security features.

Loudspeakers and Paging
intercom system The IP loudspeaker supports open standards and is compatible with Stentofon Alphacom, Stentofon pulse and iPBXs using SIP technology. When working in Alphacom mode, the IP speaker supports special services only available using the Stentofon CCoIP protocol, Alphacom server. Examples of services are emergency broadcast with volume override, ccTV integration, call priority, and Alphanet multisite networking and Stentofon event scripting.

With IP, the system is able to monitor and address each speaker individually. By moving the amplifier from a central unit out to the speaker itself, the need for a central amplifier unit with conventional speaker loops is eliminated. This makes the system highly scalable, and adding another speaker is very easy. Even though conventional speaker loops are not used, the speakers can still be divided into groups. These zones can now extend over networks or span the internet.

The IP ceiling loudspeaker has an integrated managed data switch providing advanced networking and security features.
